Real Talk Summit 2017 was a new, single-day event aimed at business entrepreneurs. Held at the Vancouver Convention Centre, the inaugural conference featured high-profile speakers such as Gary Vaynerchuck and 1-800-GOT-JUNK’s Brian Scudamore.

I created the social media strategy that highlighted each speaker’s experience and expertise and provided useful daily content to the small, but growing Real Talk community leading up to and during the event.

Concurrently, my team and I built out the client’s current brand assets to create a cohesive online identity that would be recognizable regardless of the platform or format it would appear on.

Leading up to the event, my team created and released daily content on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram,  worked with the Daily Hive to run a contest that would raise awareness, and worked closely with the client's paid media specialist to identify high-performing organic posts and promote them to prospective ticket buyers. This resulted in a 700% combined growth of social channels prior to the day of The Summit.

On the day of the event, I directed the social media team to respond to inquiries and escalate issues to the core event team. I also coordinated with Agency Media’s video team to capture photos and video clips to publish throughout the day. These generated over 185,000 impressions and 3,500 engagements within a 24-hour period.

We also worked with Gary Vaynerchuck's videographer to provide content for him to repost on Gary's YouTube channel. Collectively his videos garnered over 160,000 views
